US, Scott UX12, miscut. 1897 Illustrated Advertising Postal Card for Wells & Nellegar Co., Chicago wholesalers of  Hardware & Cutlery, Nails, Tin, Plate, Sheet Iron , Metals, etc. A "Will Call" card that was never mailed, but references Wednesday, December 22, which occurred only in 1897 close after the issuance of the card in 1894. The card is pencil addressed and miscut: the horizontal cut has shifted about 5mm. Fresh, crisp & VF.
