Japanese Lithophane Geisha Blue Peacock
Footed Demitasse Cup and Saucer
Description
A dainty porcelain demitasse cup and saucer set with gorgeous peacock pattern.
A pair of peafowls perching on cherry branch in lavish foliage and chrysanthemum flowers. Adorned with gold rimmed navy blue arabic motifs, this lovely delicate pattern may be inspired by the beauty of the mystic Orient. It also symbolizes the natural beauty of Japan because Sakura cherry blossoms and Chrysanthemum are two of the most commonly regarded symbolic flowers of the country.
This small cup has another hidden feature; when you try to get the last sip and hold the cup up to the light, you will find a lovely geisha lady smiling in the bottom, which is sure to attract your guest's attention.
The Blue Peacock Demitasse Cup & Saucer will make a unique addition to your tea party setting, or a wonderful decor piece on your mantel or shelf that shows off its grace and dignity as proud as a peacock.

Click HERE to see more Geisha lithophane cup and saucers. They are all brand-new. In the mid 1900's, a large quantity of Geisha porcelain cup and saucers were exported from Japan mainly to Europe and Australia. Dwindling numbers of these geisha cups are still made in Japan and now available in my store. However, as aging craftsmen die or retire, and few young replacements enter the porcelain industry, lithophane geisha cups will be discontinued soon. So please don't miss out on this opportunity.
