Malachite is a dark green copper carbonate with a hardness of 3.5 to is 4.
Malachite is an index mineral for all prominent sites at which copper can be found.
Whenever copper is discovered in the ground, malachite is found, too. This precious stone is fascinating because of its deep dark green color.
Depending on the amount of groundwater containing oxygen that reaches the copper, very thin stone layers which can have up to one meter thick cavities are formed with the malachite in the earth.
This Gorgeous Malachite Slab was mined in Congo and shaped and polished in South Africa.
It demonstrates absolutely gorgeous varieties of vibrant green throughout the stone!
This specimen has been fine polished twice. This made its surface slick like mirror.
And I must point it out that the photos were taken under lamps and the bright light resulted from its smooth surface's reflecting. You are expected to display it under lights if you buy it.
This malachite specimen is 100% natural and it has not been dyed,heated or treated in any other ways to change its color or structure.
