This is a brand new genuine BMW Independent Heater Retrofit to a 2014+ F15 F85 X5 or F16 F86 X6 2015+ with any of the following features (rear seat heating, rear entertainment system, TV function, or coolbox).  This is an actual BMW retrofit for models not possessing this rare feature from the factory.  Do you live in an awfully cold region at least some part of the year?  The independent heater system allows you to via remote begin heating up your interior cabin at any point prior to you getting into your car and beginning your journey.  The system uses battery power and fuel to attain the heat level you choose on your remote.  By the time you get into your car it's comfy and cozy.  Please note that because it does use battery power you'll need to be mindful of how often you use it in a day and for how long you have it run prior to turning your engine on.  Just apply common sense to this formula and you'll be fine as it is an actual BMW brand kit, designed specifically for your X5/X6.

Important things to consider:

• The auxiliary heater retrofit is not compatible with rape methyl ester (RME)
• It does require coding which can be done by a BMW service center or remotely by a handful of companies offering this service
• Installation time is indicated to be 9 hours according to the instructions
