Remote Key Shell

Since I get my XC90. I always feel there has some problems in the design of the car keys. Key position is difficult to operate. and the surface of the leather cover is hard to clean, it is also easy damage. But at that time I can not imagine that the chrome frame on this key shell will become this look (as picture shown) after six months.
I consulted some professional engineers, they told me that to do chrome plating adhesion on plastic is not strong, especially in regular contact position. friction with other object, and sweat on the palm will cause this result. After that I decided to re-design a new key shell, the major goal is easy to clean, wear-resistant, no need to put it out to check whether the key I pressed is the right. Then the final product you can see is this.
Surface design with a Carbon fiber pattern (pattern made by the mold, better than carbon fiber sticker), So there is a very good touch feeling, finger slide on it can feel a clear carbon fiber lines. And I designed a recess on one side. You can install it freely on any side, then you can decide to install it on the unlock key side or the keys indicator side, It can help you know what button it is when you touched this recess.
