Postally unused card with imperfections as scanned; has some storage wear; see scan which forms a part of this description. Taken by a local photographer, this is very possibly a unique surviving record of the trip, taken on a sunny day. Note that in the back row, 7th from left, appears to be the celebrated countryside access campaigner and walking enthusiast, Thomas Arthur Leonard. Pacifist and socialist, arguably as important in forming the modern holiday movement as Billy Butlin or Thomas Cook, but far less well remembered, a gentleman who rewards further study. The card itself was produced by local photographer , J Banks

All postcards and ephemera will be sent in brand new card backed envelopes, marked do not bend, for protection. This leads to somewhat higher postage costs, but ensures you receive the card as advertised, hence the slightly higher postage cost.
