Step back into the golden age of 80s creature features with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin masterpiece. This is a "Time Capsule" copy from my personal collection. While many 1980s LaserDiscs were tossed around and neglected, this copy has been protected by its original factory shrink wrap since it was first purchased, ensuring the iconic artwork remains vibrant and shelf-ready.
COMPLETE COLLECTOR’S MANIFEST & SPECS:
* PERSONAL ARCHIVE / PREVIOUSLY PLAYED: This copy comes from my personal collection and has been played. It remains in Excellent condition, offering that warm, analog 1980s theatrical experience that only LaserDisc can provide.
* COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL RICEPAPER INNER SLEEVE: Unlike most used copies that have been shoved into cheap plastic, this disc still retains its original premium ricepaper inner sleeve for superior surface protection.
* CONDITION DISCLOSURE: The original factory shrink wrap is still present (opened). Please note that there is a small area of moisture-related discoloration (approx. 1" x 1/2") at the bottom of the jacket near the opening. Because the shrink has been kept on, the rest of the jacket remains remarkably bright and free of standard shelf wear.
* PREMIUM 10MM UPGRADE: To ensure long-term preservation and to protect the jacket from further wear, I have placed the entire set, original shrink included, into a high-end 10mm vinyl archival outer slip.
* ARCHIVAL CARE: Handled by a professional A/V enthusiast, stored vertically in a smoke-free, climate-controlled room.
* THE DISC: Handled with extreme care, only by the edges. Excellent playback.
PROFESSIONAL SHIPPING FOR COLLECTORS:
We do not use flimsy bubble mailers. Your LaserDisc will be shipped in a genuine vinyl/laserdisc cardboard shipper, reinforced heavy-duty with cardboard stiffeners on top and bottom to prevent the jacket from bending. To prevent shipping damage, all materials will be shipped outside the jacket and placed in the 10mm outer slip. We recommend Priority Mail as the post office tends to treat those packages better, but we provide many options and will ship by your method of choice.
A NOTE ABOUT ME: I used to own an independent Audio/Video store, and most of these were new inventory before I took them home. Most of my offerings were only played once or twice. Unless specified, all are in excellent original condition. I don't like surprises any more than you do!
I no longer have a laserdisc player and these have been sitting in a temperature controlled room for years, so I'm beginning to parse off singles, and multi-disc lots, (as of Jan), will be adding titles and lots daily. I ALWAYS combine lots to save on shipping, and due to the weight of Laserdiscs in general, recommend media mail to keep the costs, down, but I'll ship anyway you select, but INSURANCE is always included, so that adds to the shipping costs a tiny bit.
