This is a 5ft Martin Outback Red hide Stock Whip, hand made in Australia from Martin Outback Martin Outback Red hide leather. Martin Outback Red hide is a strong, durable leather ideally suited to working stock whips.
The handle is made from Australian hardwood and finished with a 6-plait cowhide leather grip. The cowhide grip is softer on the hands while still wearing extremely well.
Please note that the Australian hardwood handle may be lighter or darker than pictured because of natural timber variation and the beeswax finish applied to it.
The advertised 5ft measurement refers to the plaited section of the whip, called the thong. The handle and fall are additional to this measurement.
