Easton Press Collector's Edition
Description: Leatherbound hardback book published by Easton Press. Bound in top grade red leather with 22kt gold lettering and cover artwork. Hubbed spine, acid neutral paper with page edges gilded, and a satin ribbon book mark sewn in. Collector's Note and unused publisher supplied bookplate laid in (not attached). Part of the Easton Press Masterpieces of Science Fiction series. A wonderful book, one of my favorites. The original novella that was expanded to form this novel won the Hugo, Nebula and Locus awards for best novella. Originally issued by Easton Press completely unsigned, we have added part of a signature page containing both author's signatures. Signed by the introduction writer on the title page without inscription or personalization. The partial signature page with the author's signatures added to this book came from an Easton Press signed first edition of Starseed which had gotten water damaged at the top.
Synopsis: Shara Drummond was a gifted dancer and a brilliant choreographer, but could not pursue her dream of dancing on Earth, so she went to space, creating a new art form in three dimensions. And when the aliens arrived, there was only one way to prove that the human race deserved not just to survive, but to reach the stars. The only hope was Shara, with her stardance.
Condition: Binding - very good plus, spine a bit sun faded (for some reason the leather used for this particular book is more susceptible to sun fading than most of Easton Press's other books), a few slight flaws to the page edge gilding, if it wasn't for the sun fading, I would grade this book as fine. Dust jacket - none, as issued.

A Note On Customs: When customs forms are required for a shipment, we fill them out honestly, stating that the contents are merchandise and giving the price you paid for the item (not including the shipping) as the value. Please do not ask us to do otherwise. Take any customs duty that you will have to pay into consideration before making your purchase. Please note that many countries have restrictions on the import of certain goods and sometimes on the maximum value that can be shipped to the country by various shipping methods. Priority Mail International insurance cannot be purchased for all countries and some limit the amount of insurance that can be purchased (default indemnity coverage seems to apply to all countries). Details on shipping conditions by country can be found on the United States Post Office web site. |
