Showing just how competitive the 2012 MotoGP season was, with four races to go, it was all still to play for as Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo battled Spanish rival Dani Pedrosa for the first World Championship title of the 1000cc era. Pedrosa's Honda teammate Casey Stoner's ambitions of making his mark in his last season were hit by injury, while Tech3's Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso seemed to be playing out their fierce rivalry on every lap of every race.

Valentino Rossi's Ducati adventures continued before his 2013 switch back to Yamaha, plus Alvaro Bautista and Stefan Bradl were making a real impact on MotoGP.

As ever, the official review has spectacular action from all 18 races, including plenty of on-boards and interviews, plus exclusive bonus features.

 Description:
The 2012 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 64th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Casey Stoner started the season as the defending World Champion, while Honda was the defending Manufacturers' Champion.

The championship battle revolved around Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo and Honda pairing Dani Pedrosa and defending champion Stoner. Lorenzo won four of the first six races to be held in the campaign to open up an advantage over Stoner, before he was taken out of the Dutch TT on the first lap by Álvaro Bautista; Stoner won the race to eradicate the points lead.

In the next race, Stoner crashed out of the German Grand Prix on the final lap and allowed Pedrosa to take his first win of the season. Stoner struggled in the next few races – despite a victory at the United States Grand Prix – with his championship challenge ended by a qualifying crash at Indianapolis. After ankle surgery, he returned to the series and won his home race, the Australian Grand Prix, for the sixth successive season.

Pedrosa went on a run of five victories in six races, with the streak being interrupted by a first-lap crash at Misano, where he was taken out by Héctor Barberá. Lorenzo finished second to Pedrosa on each occasion that he had won, and he took advantage of Pedrosa's accident to win at Misano.

Lorenzo ultimately won the title with a second place finish to Stoner in Australia, after Pedrosa had crashed out of the lead early on.

1. Shipping time:
If your item is to be sent to/from an International destination your delivery tends to take about 2-4 weeks.

 NB: DVDs that are sold as Region 2/4 (or 1/4) are dual layered. The packaging often only lists Region 2 (or Region 1) but these DVDs should be playable on all Region 4 DVD players. But may not play on devices such as X-Box, PC's. Mac's and Playstations.
 


 

 

3. Handling time:

4. Refunds/Replacements:

  2. I stand by the quality of the goods shipped. Full refund or replacement goods will be sent up to 30 days from your receipt of goods for faulty products. Faulty products will need to be returned (postage to be reimbursed) - contact me for details when required.

5. Import Taxes/Duties:

  1. Deliveries to Australia, New Zealand and Asian region are all inclusive of any GST, taxes and import duties, etc. If the delivery service asks you to pay any taxes, etc please contact me immediately so that I can assist.

  2. Deliveries to European Union countries are inclusive of VAT via the handling charge but may incur local import taxes that are the responsibility of the buyer/receiver to fulfil/pay. If you decide not to pay these taxes and chose to refuse delivery, please advise so that I can fully refund you upon receipt of returned goods.
