Item Description:
This is a very nice clay crafted modern
reproduction of a soldier from the great Terracotta Army of Qin
Shi Huang the First Emperor of China.
The actual terracotta figures that this replica statue is based
on, dating from 210 BC, were discovered in 1974 by some local farmers
near Xi'an, Shan-xi province, China near the Mausoleum of the First Qin
Emperor. Current estimates are that in the three pits containing the
Terracotta Army there were over 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520
horses and 150 cavalry horses, the majority of which are still buried
in the pits. Excellent workmanship and the
piece looks even more attractive in person, item dimension is
approximately 2-3/8 inches by 1-3/4 inches by 7-7/8 inches tall. Happy
