These precision-made Stainless Steel hobbed gears are designed to be attached directly to a stepper motor with a 5mm shaft (Click for our 38mm Stepper) Being Stainless Steel a single M4 grub screw is more then enough to secure the pulley to your 5mm stepper shaft. Just ensure your stepper motor has a ground flat on the shaft.
Many direct drive extruder setups are designed to work with gears such as these - see thingiverse.com for different designs.
An M4 allen key to suit the grub screw is included with each order.
