This auction is for a meat / serving plate

bearing the Indian Tree design.

The plate measures 40 x 32 cms approx.

The mark on the back shows that it was manufactured by

S. Hancock and Sons.

Research indicates that this mark was used between 1857 to 1935,

with production ceasing in 1935 when the pottery went into receivership.

It shows the wear you would expect from items of this age,

but is generally in good condition
