In a participating and packed saleroom with over 30 telephones connected to Italian and international collectors, the auction organized by Sotheby's Milan and devoted to the Collection of Giorgio Soavi, Paintings, Drawings and Sculptures, has recorded a percentage of sold of 94%. Top lot of the collection, Giorgio’s Portrait painted in 1963 at Stampa by Alberto Giacometti; the oil on canvas has been sold to an Italian collector for over 600,000 €. All sold the works by Sutherland, Alechinsky and Folon. The auction has also represented a great appreciation for Italian artists such as Giuliano Vangi, Gianfranco Ferroni, Piero Guccione, Mino Maccari and Carlo Mattioli with many records registred; i.e, the painted terracotta (h cm 87) by Giuliano Vangi, Untitled, has been soldto an Italian private collector for 66,750 €.

For shipping within the USA we will use USPS Priority Mail flat rate envelope for one catalog - we find this to be the most reliable with quick delivery times. With two or more catalogs being shipped we'll try to fit what we can into one USPS Priority flat rate envelope (which is very cost effective) - BUT you can check with us first to make sure if we can.
On multiple or larger quantity purchases (i.e., two or more catalogs) we default to USPS Priority Mail flat rate box (FYI up to 2 to10 catalogs in each box depending on the size of the catalogs - which saves you $$ on combined sales) or combined media mail for larger quantities.
If the catalog is oversized (FYI the oversized catalogs will not fit into a P.M. envelope) or upon request USPS Media mail shipping for a normal size catalog.
International
For the majority of our international customers one normal size catalog via USPS Priority flat rate. Please note: we can sometimes fit 2 catalogs into one USPS Priority flat-rate envelope within the 4 U.S. pound weight limit - BUT check with us first to make sure if we can .
A great feature that is now available is USPS Priority Mail flat-rate box which means we can put up to 7-10 catalogs (depending on the size of the catalogs) via airmail into one box for a great rate - giving you great savings & quick service on multiple catalogs!!!
FYI If the catalog is too large and/or heavy for USPS Priority flat rate envelope we'll default to USPS Priority flat rate box or USPS 1st class mail whichever is cheaper or doable.
