Originally published in the early 1950s, this rare quilt making book contains vintage, whimsical patterns not found in other quilting books like Circus Time, Gay Butterfly, Bluebird, and Big Top Pals. Other designs include Little Balloon Girl, Pets Coverlet (with rabbit, lamb and teddy bear motifs), Pinwheel (can also be used as a Black Eyed Susan pattern), Bow Tie, Parasol Lady, and Miniature Fisherman -- all charming designs perfect for children's quilts.

This book includes 12 designs along with full instructions for making each quilt -- quantity of fabric, cutting and marking, specifics for each quilt, etc. Two center pages give very detailed instructions on how to make a pattern, cutting pieces, applying designs, appliqueing pieces, using embroidery stitches, quilt lining, setting the quilt pieces together, etc.
