Set of Two

Brand new, concours quality reproductions of the BMC ACH6168 tie rod ends as were originally fitted to many classic British cars of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Each set includes two tie rod ends.

These are NOT generic tie rod ends modified to fit these cars, as is being offered by just about every other seller in the world. These are made from new, custom tooling specifically intended to duplicate the original BMC factory design, including correct rubber boot, wire retainer clip, castellated nut with cotter pin, and original 90 degree 5/16 UNF grease fitting.

Below are some of the classic cars 5/8 UNF tie rod ends were fitted to:

Austin Healey Sprite Mk1 (Bugeye), Mk2, Mk3: 1958-1971

MG Midget Mk1, Mk2, Mk3: 1961-early 1972 (up to car# GAN5/114486)

MG Magnette ZA: 1956 Only

MG Magnette ZB: 1957-1958

Morris Minor 1000: 1959-1971

Morris Oxford, Cowley, Isis: 1955-1959

Original Details

The inner thread size of 5/8 UNF (5/8 x 18) which is cast into the tie rod end just as was done on the original BMC factory units. The other side has the original "J6498-9/S" markings cast into it as well. Even the rubber boot has the "J9989" marking as was original.

Equivalent to BMC numbers ACH6168, 8G8452, Unipart number GSJ169.

IMPORTANT: Only TWO sets (4 tie rod ends) can fit into a Priority Mail SMALL Flat Rate Box. If you want more than two sets, you must choose a different shipping service such as Priority Mail MEDIUM Flat Rate Box or UPS Ground for domestic shipments.

Please check with your customs broker or your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.

Although the Post Office may give estimated delivery times, in some cases it may take many additional weeks for transport.
We will get your package out quickly, but once it enters the postal system, it is totally out of our control.

Be aware, if you want to have your international parcel trackable, you need to opt for a higher (and significantly more expensive) shipping service such as UPS Air or Express Mail.

IMPORTANT: We will ONLY ship to the PayPal specified address on your PayPal payment. If you want your item sent to a different address, this address must be added to your PayPal account (as a secondary address) before making payment; then select this address when payment is made.

Combined S/H Discounts

We are happy to save you money by combining your purchases of different products into a single transaction; but be aware, the savings primarily come from reduced processing and paperwork, not so much the actual postage savings. Ebay does not do this automatically, so to benefit from these savings, you must strictly adhere to the following:

All purchases are within a 5 day period, and

Paid from a single invoice sent by us to you, and

Paid in full with a single PayPal payment.

No exceptions.

Therefore, if you are making multiple purchases, do not checkout and do not pay for anything until you are finished buying. Then request a "combined invoice with discounted S/H" for all of your purchased items.

The two biggest complaints you will find in other sellers' feedback (other than outright fraud), are inflated S/H Rates and Lengthy Shipping Times.

Our S/H rates are carefully calculated to be fair and reasonable. If you object to our S/H charges on any product, DO NOT BUY FROM US; but if you do buy from us, and we do not charge you more than we stated, then we deserve 5 stars in the "Shipping and handling charges" DSR. This is especially true if you buy multiple products but do NOT request a "combined invoice with discounted S/H" since each item is priced for individual shipment.

If you object to our Shipping Times and think getting your order out within a day or two (or maybe another day or so for foreign orders with customs declarations), is too long, DO NOT BUY FROM US; but if you do buy from us, and we get your order out within this time frame, then we deserve 5 stars in the "Shipping Time" DSR, regardless of how long the carrier takes to deliver the parcel to you. It's "Shipping Time", NOT "Delivery Time". Be aware that you can always ring us and speak to a "real" person if you need something shipped out quicker.

Lastly, but most importantly, by monitoring our feedback continually, we can determine if a buyer leaves us unjustified low grades. If this is the case, we will block that buyer from future purchases. There are people in cyberspace who have unrealistic expectations or are not very honorable. If you are one of them and do us an injustice, you won't get a second chance.

Regarding Buyer Feedback, we've arranged with a private company to automatically generate buyer feedback and spend this saved time on the "operations" end of an eBay transaction. The buyer's feedback is automatically left as soon as the buyer leaves positive feedback for us.

If after giving us feedback, you do not receive your feedback after seven days, please contact us. Internet glitches sometimes cause this third party service not to work 100% of the time.
