YELLOW BRASS  -  CARTRIDGE BRASS 
Brass bits are alloyed with 70% Copper and 30% Zinc

Brass is used for decorative parts due to its bright Gold-like appearance.  Brass is yellow color, which is somewhat similar to gold.  Brass is used in Jewelry manufacturing for alloying. Brass pieces are cut in to small bits approximately 1" x 1/4" x 1/8".

Brass bits come packed in a 5 Pound Bag. Yellow Brass has good castability, moderate strength, machines well and is easily finished to a pleasant pale yellow gold color.

Yellow Brass can be used in producing Jewelry in base metals as an alternative to gold and silver.  Yellow Brass is an Alpha brass (containing less than 35 per cent of zinc) also called Cartridge Brass. This alloy contains No Lead, it is Lead Free. 

It is malleable, can be worked cold, and is used in pressing, forging, or similar applications.  It can also be used for musical instruments and decorative ornamental fittings.
