FRAMED ACTOR HENRY FONDA POSTAGE STAMP

This stamp was issued on May 20, 2005 in Los Angeles as the 11th in the "Legends of Hollywood" series.  When Fonda was 20 years old, a family friend, the mother of Marlon Brando, introduced Henry to amateur theater. That was the beginning of a life-long love of acting and everything associated with the theater.

All through the Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression, Fonda pursued his acting career. Finally, he was rewarded with leading roles. He starred in both the movie and Broadway productions of the comedy Mister Roberts, playing an idealistic Navy officer. That casting was particularly appropriate because Fonda had served as a Navy lieutenant during World War II.Henry Fonda appeared in over 80 films.  He was famous for portraying men of integrity.

It is on black textured mat in small blue oval frame (approximate size is 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 inches). Frame comes with stand.

The Stamp is UNUSED U.S. POSTAGE STAMP.  FREE Shipping
