Vintage New Trends Inc Japan 3D Vegetable Butter Dish Pickle Handle #332

Condition: Very good clean used vintage condition. Bright glaze and beautifully preserved hand-painted details. Please see the last photos closely for minor micro-flea bites on edge typical of mid-century imported earthenware.

Description: A wonderful vintage 3D trompe l'oeil ceramic covered butter dish imported by New Trends Inc. of Japan. This collectible vintage set features the original distributor markings NT along with the mold style number "332" stamped on the bottom of the base.

The highly detailed figural lid is realistically sculpted with a vibrant kitchen garden harvest medley, including an ear of sweet corn, a bright red tomato, a head of cauliflower/cabbage, a potato, and garlic, topped off with a dimensional whole green pickle serving as the handle. The accompanying rectangular underplate is finished in a warm harvest gold/mustard yellow glaze.
