- Air-Foam Flotation Technology: This core system eliminates mechanical pumps. It combines the pressure-relieving qualities of a multi-stiffness open-cell foam matrix with a physical two-way air valve. Opening the valve allows the foam to self-inflate, and body weight automatically distributes fluidly into the contoured segments.
- Anatomical Foam Sculpting: The internal foam is purposefully varied. It is constructed thickest and softest along the vertebral column to protect the sensitive bony spinous processes, transitioning to high-density, firmer foam along the lateral trunk walls to assist with core upright stability.
- Rollover Protection & Cover: The design includes an enhanced rollover cushion integrated directly into the top edge of the cover. This eliminates rigid contact if a user leans over or extends forcefully against the hard aluminum backshell pan. The outer cover is a machine-washable, breathable spacer knit fabric that manages heat and moisture.
Seat & Frame Size Compatibility
To maintain clinical postural integrity, this replacement cushion is cut to mirror exact backrest configurations:
- Cushion Frame Width: 18 Inches (Fits 18" horizontal backrest shells/pans).
- Backrest System Height: Mid-Back (Medium Profile). The mid-back height gives substantial lower and mid-thoracic support while leaving the upper scapula and arm areas clear for physical activity or self-propulsion.
- Shell Depth: Fits standard aluminum shells configured for mild contour support (not intended for the hyper-deep lateral "Deep" or "Extra Tall" series shells).
