A distinctive necklace featuring three Indian one rupee coin pendants, paired with irregular turquoise-coloured nugget beads in shades of blue and green.

The outward-facing sides bear “ONE RUPEE INDIA” within a decorative floral border, with a worn portrait and “VICTORIA EMPRESS” lettering on the opposite sides. **The Victoria Empress one-rupee coin series was issued from 1877 to 1901.** Dates on these pendants are difficult to distinguish but appear to include 1877–1878; exact dates cannot be confirmed.

Each pendant has a double-loop mount with small floral details. Silver-tone round spacers and patterned fan-shaped beads complete the design, finished with a hook-and-ring clasp. The necklace has a handmade appearance and an Indian-inspired style.

Pre-owned condition with tarnish, surface marks, pitting and substantial wear to the coin details. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
