Up for sale is a stunning mid century painting by the talented French artist Jean Claude Vincent Guignebert depicting a surreal still life. Signed low right "Guignebert" this work is executed in oil on canvas measuring 15 x 18 inches while its wood frame measures 21.5 x 24.5 inches. The foreground shows an arrangement of items from a yellow shell, tattered French flag, pipe, pinned objects and a draped yellow and green cloth attached to a blue cone strung together by string. The vase red background with black sky gives this an endless expanse of which I find only enhances the myriad of object to be pondered. The condition of this painting shows surface dirt / dust, loss low left and partial tear low right while its frame shows some light wear. This is a particular favorite painting of mine, the more time I spend with it the more fond I grow. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition, and aesthetic beauty of this unique and rare surreal composition by Jean Claude Guignebert but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
