Designed for Screen Printing and Photosensitive Projects

The Dorhui 395nm UV exposure light is designed for screen printing, photo emulsion, cyanotype, UV resin curing and other compatible photosensitive applications. It provides a dedicated UV light source for users who want more control over exposure conditions than relying on sunlight.

Screen Printing Exposure

For screen printing, place the transparency securely against the coated screen and position the UV light above the exposure area. Exposure results depend on several factors, including emulsion type, coating thickness, mesh count, artwork density and lamp distance. Typical exposure may take approximately 3–5 minutes, but a small step test is recommended before exposing the final screen.

Photo Emulsion and Stencil Preparation

The 395nm UV light can be used with compatible photo emulsion for creating screen printing stencils. Proper exposure helps harden the exposed emulsion while leaving the image area ready for washout. Follow the emulsion manufacturer's instructions and adjust exposure time according to your specific setup.

Cyanotype and Sun-Print Projects

This UV light can also be used with compatible cyanotype paper, fabric and other light-sensitive materials. Indoor UV exposure provides an alternative to waiting for direct sunlight and makes it easier to repeat similar projects under more controlled conditions.

UV Resin Curing

For compatible UV resin projects, place the item within the illuminated area and rotate or reposition it when necessary so that different surfaces receive UV exposure. Curing time may vary depending on resin formula, object size, layer thickness and distance from the light.

Test Before Final Exposure

Different photosensitive materials respond differently to 395nm UV light. Before processing the final screen, print or resin project, test a small sample and adjust the exposure time or working distance as needed for the selected material.

Avoid looking directly at illuminated LEDs during operation. Use suitable UV eye protection and follow the safety instructions provided with the photosensitive material being used.
