Original signed ceramic wall art by Charleston, South Carolina ceramic artist Jeff Kopish.
Titled “Heather,” this striking hand-built ceramic wall plaque features an expressive stylized female face rendered in rich warm brown glaze with large blue and white eyes, vivid red lips, a turquoise accent at the forehead and black along the lower edge.
Incised linework defines the face and distinctive curling nose, giving the piece the wonderfully individual, folk-inspired character associated with Kopish’s work.
The reverse is hand titled “HEATHER” and signed Kopish, making the attribution especially clear.
Two holes at the top hold the original-style wire hanger for wall display.
Approximate measurements:
11" tall
6" wide
Measurements exclude hanging wire.
A distinctive piece of contemporary Southern studio ceramics and a terrific companion to other Jeff Kopish portrait works.
