This auction is for a vintage Donnay Allwood tennis racket. It has International Tennis Team written on the top and includes the names of several prominent 70's and 80's tennis stars including Bjorn Borg, Marianna Simonescu, and others. This was most likely sold as a racket to be displayed rather than played with, although the Donnay Allwood remains one of the most popular wooden rackets ever produced. This racket is in terrific condition with only a few small scratches along the top edges indicating it was most likely only hit with once or twice, if that much. I would guess it still has the original strings, as indicated by the faint "D" still visible.
