October 9, 2026 Studio Album, released in 2026

"Far and Wide," the 16th studio album by alternative progressive/art rock masters The Pineapple Thief, releases on 9 October 2026 via InsideOutMusic. Clocking in at 9 tracks and 48 minutes, the album marks a significant creative shift for the band. Critics are widely praising it for its masterful restraint, electing a raw, stage-ready rock chemistry over dense, overly complex multi-track layering

The Power of Subtraction: A defining element of the recording sessions was a strict self-imposed rule: never feature more than two guitar parts at once. Reviewers note that this subtraction beautifully exposes the raw space and emotional weight of the music.

Atmosphere & Restraint: Instead of descending into instrumental over-indulgence, the band constantly serves the songwriting. Critics note the balance of "tension without hysteria," resulting in an elegant, moody, and highly accessible prog-rock record
