Programme for the play "The Great Adventure" by Arnold Bennett, produced at the Kingsway Theatre in London by Granville Barker and Lillah McCarthy. The play opened on 25 March 1913 and had a number of cast changes during its long run, but all of those named in this 8-page, 13 x 16cm programme were those who had created the roles in the piece. An advert for the Grosvenor Gallery suggests that it may have been printed before 5 April 1913. Actors named in the programme are Henry Ainley, Gedge Twyman, Claude King, Neville Gartside, Wish Wynne, Guy Rathbone, Cyril Bennett, Acton Bond, Lydia Bilbrooke, A. G. Poulton, Clarence Derwent, Val Cuthbert, Geoffrey Denys, John Astley, Alma Ellerslie, Dawson Milward, Franklyn Roberts and Owen Mansel. In fair condition, there is some age toning and other signs of wear commensurate with age.
