This auction is for a Bachmann Spectrum G Gauge No.5 Ely-Thomas 2-Truck Shay Steam Locomotive To Clean and Repair. It can also be used for parts. I'm not sure what the Catalog Number is. It was made in the late 1990's. It has been sitting on a shelf for years in an airplane hanger and it is dirty with baked on dust that could pass for weathering. It will need a good detailed cleaning. I think it was mostly a display piece and it has not been run much. When tested the sounds came on and the motor runs great but it does not run. I opened one gear box on the underside of one truck and found the plastic gears are loose and in pieces. It is shown in the pictures. When powered the motor runs and if you give it a push it will trigger chugging and bell and whistle sounds that all work great. The smoke unit is clean but it did not work when tested. It comes with all the accessories shown in the pictures that were glued to the catwalk but fell off and they are shown in the pictures. This engine appears complete.
