Title: 1963 Morris Mini Deluxe Restoration Project - Rare Classic - NSW

Description:

Genuine Australian-built Morris Mini Deluxe (BMC type YMA2S2), believed 1963-64 build based on chassis and engine number research. Originally finished in factory Seamist Green, now painted gray.

Sold as-is, project condition, not registered or roadworthy.

What's good:

Solid, straight body shell — no missing major panels, no structural collapse

Engine upgraded at some point from the original 998cc to a 1098cc A-series unit — a well-regarded, sought-after upgrade in the Mini world

All doors, glass, chrome trim, dash, and steering wheel present and intact

Genuine restoration project bought with eyes open — great candidate for someone who wants to bring a real Mini back to life

What needs doing:

Floor pans and boot floor are rusted through and will need replacing — panels are readily available from the many Mini spare parts suppliers (Mini Spares, Heritage, etc.)

Engine is currently out of the car (removal started during an earlier restoration attempt) — condition unknown, will need assessment/rebuild

Suspension and brakes will need a full rebuild or replacement

Interior trim (seats, door cards) has deteriorated and will need re-trimming

Doors need paint/rust attention

Why I'm selling: I bought this car intending to restore it myself and made a start, but health has put an end to those plans. I'd rather see it go to someone who can actually finish the job than have it sit.

See photos for full detail on floor condition, engine bay, interior, and doors.
