2009 BMW X5 E70 4.8i V8 M Sport – 123,700 Miles – Fully Loaded – ULEZ Compliant
For sale is my 2009 BMW X5 E70 4.8i V8 in Carbon Black. This is the 4.8-litre N62 naturally aspirated V8 producing around 355hp, paired with BMW’s automatic gearbox and xDrive all-wheel drive system. It’s a brilliant combination of performance, comfort and practicality, and the V8 gives it a character that the smaller-engined X5s simply don’t have.
The car has covered 123,700 miles and was serviced in June 2026. It was also MOT tested on the 8th of June 2026 and has an MOT valid until June 2027.
It’s a very highly specified example with a great factory specification, including the head-up display, panoramic glass sunroof, seven-seat configuration, heated front and rear seats, adaptive headlights, rear air suspension, cruise control, electric memory front seats and anthracite headlining.
The interior has the timeless BMW dark wood trim, which works really nicely with the black exterior and anthracite headliner. The front seats are electrically adjustable with memory function, while the rear seats are manually adjustable. It also retains the original six-disc CD changer located in the glove box.
I’ve also upgraded the original infotainment system with a large 12-inch touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a reverse camera. It makes the car considerably more usable day-to-day while still keeping the rest of the interior looking relatively OEM.
The exterior is Carbon Black (which is a slightly dark navy/black colour) with the high-gloss black Shadow Edition styling, giving it a much more understated and modern appearance than the standard chrome-trimmed cars. The headlights have also recently been restored, so they present much better than you normally see on an X5 of this age.
Being the 4.8i V8, this is the N62 engine producing approximately 355hp. It sounds fantastic when you get into the throttle and has that smooth, effortless V8 delivery that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. It is also ULEZ compliant, which is a big advantage for anyone wanting to use one in London.
The X5 is equally at home as a comfortable motorway cruiser, family car or something to enjoy on a weekend. With seven seats, a huge amount of space, panoramic roof and all-wheel drive, it is an incredibly versatile car.
Specification includes HUD head-up display, 12-inch Apple CarPlay and Android Auto touchscreen, reverse camera, panoramic sunroof, seven seats, upgraded M Sport steering wheel, automatic gearbox, xDrive AWD, 4.8-litre N62 V8 producing approximately 355hp, Carbon Black paintwork, high-gloss black Shadow Edition exterior trim, heated front and rear seats, electric memory front seats, adjustable rear seats, adaptive headlights, rear air suspension, anthracite headliner, cruise control and six-disc CD changer.
The car is now 17 years old, so please don't expect a brand-new X5. It has been used and there are inevitably some age-related marks here and there, but overall it presents very well for its age and mileage. I have tried to describe the car honestly rather than hide anything behind the usual dealer-style wording.
Please note the vehicle is recorded as Category N. The car has been repaired and is currently MOT'd, road legal and in use. I am being completely upfront about the Cat N status and have priced the car accordingly
