Up for sale is a beautiful Victorian-era enamelware and pewter coffee pot produced by the renowned Manning, Bowman & Company (Meriden, Connecticut) dating back to the late 19th century (circa 1880s–1890s). This striking piece features a white enameled graniteware/agateware body decorated on both sides with a vivid, transfer-painted pattern of autumnal fall oak leaves and acorns. It is beautifully complemented by an ornate mixed-metal handle, spout, base trim, and lidded top featuring a rich, aged copper/bronze-tone patina finish over the pewter/Britannia metal hardware. Dimensions: Measures approximately 9.5 inches tall. Condition Note (Please Read): This item has been loved and enjoyed along life's journey and is being sold strictly as a decorative display piece / farmhouse kitchen collectible. The exterior enamel and leaf graphics present beautifully for display with minimal cosmetic surface wear. The interior base of the pot displays age-related spiderweb cracking (crazing) and structural glaze fractures with minor moisture discoloration lines (see pictures). The internal metal spout mesh also features a heavy, dark antique patina. It is missing the small, separate flip-lid that originally covered the tip of the spout opening. Not safe for food or beverage consumption. A gorgeous piece of late-1800s Americana folk art, perfect to hold dried flowers or to accent a cottage, rustic, or primitive kitchen display!
