• Unasco Green Gas Thread Seal Tape is a PTFE thread sealing tape designed specifically for safe use in oxygen applications. During the manufacturing process, extra care is taken to ensure that any remaining volatiles are removed as they can pose an explosion risk when working with concentrated/pure oxygen.
• Provides a dependable seal that will form an impenetrable barrier to oxygen at pressures up to 200 bar.
• No curing time, effective across a broad range of temperatures, and will not harden or crack on the joint.

Its density provides a dependable seal that will form an impenetrable barrier to oxygen at pressures up to 200 bar. The green pigmentation makes it simple to spot check that the correct tape is being used.

Application Instructions

For fittings up to 1-1/2 inch / 38 mm diameter

1. Use 1/2 inch / 12 mm wide tape.
2. Clean the male and female threads thoroughly.
3. Wrap the tape around the male thread. Take care to keep the tape under tension as you are wrapping so the tape moulds itself into the root of the thread.
4. Make sure that you wrap with the thread.
5. Make sure that the tape does not overlap the end of the fitting.
6. Three wraps seal most threads.

Note. For poor quality or damaged threads or threads that are hard to seal like parallel threads or threads on fittings subject to vibration, more than four wraps may be necessary.
