Vintage wooden hand carder / wool carding tool, marked “Made in Holland.” (Possibly Louët as she had a bunch of those)

Traditional hand tool used for preparing, opening and carding wool and other fibers prior to hand spinning.

This is a single carder only, not a pair. It features a solid wooden handle, curved wooden carding head, and metal wire teeth.

Vintage used condition with age and wear from previous use. The wire teeth show bending and unevenness, and the carding cloth shows wear consistent with age and use. Wood has some normal marks, scratches and discoloration.

Marked “Made in Holland” on the wooden head. No other maker’s name has been found, so the manufacturer is unknown.
