Sansui CA-3000 control preamplifier - Sansui's top 1970s preamp, with level meters and a full tone and filter section.

Condition, as the owner reports it:
• Inspected and repaired - the repair certificate is shown in the photographs
• One item could not be replaced because the part was unavailable; it relates to a rarely used function and is noted on the certificate
• Sounds excellent
• Scuffs and scratches on the top panel; clean for its age overall
• As a very old unit, the owner asks that it be treated as vintage equipment

POWER / VOLTAGE - PLEASE READ: this is a Japanese domestic model rated for AC 100V, 50/60Hz. It must not be plugged directly into a higher-voltage outlet.
• USA / Canada (120V): use a step-down transformer from 120V to 100V of adequate capacity (at least 1.5-2 times the unit's power consumption). Many owners in North America run Japanese 100V units this way.
• UK / Europe / Australia and other 220-240V countries: a 240V-to-100V step-down transformer is essential - direct connection will destroy the unit.
• 50Hz and 60Hz mains both work with this unit.
• The plug is the Japanese two-pin type (same shape as US Type A). No transformer is included.
