Beautiful vintage Royal Winton “Old Cottage Chintz” lidded box, made in England.

A lovely original piece of English chintz ware, decorated all over with colourful cottage-garden flowers including pink roses and vivid blue, pink and orange blooms, finished with delicate gilt edging.

The underside carries the “Old Cottage Chintz – Royal Winton – Made in England” backstamp. Old Cottage is one of Royal Winton's classic floral chintz patterns, dating from the mid-20th century.

Approximately 13.5 × 9.5 × 4.5 cm.

In very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is a small approximately 5 mm grey spot on the top of the lid, clearly photographed. It appears to be on the surface/decoration and the original pattern can be seen beneath it. I have left it untouched rather than risk damaging the finish.

A charming collectible Royal Winton piece, ideal as a trinket box, jewellery box or decorative display piece.
