The Quantum Q-Logic 3 Attendant Control Joystick Module (Part #CTL143981 / Curtis Model #1762-2109) is a premium, secondary rehab electronic control interface engineered by Pride Mobility. It allows a caregiver or attendant standing behind the power wheelchair to fully operate the vehicle's driving functions and multi-axis power seating configurations.
The CTL143981 module shifts complete operational priority away from the user’s primary armrest joystick to a rear-mounted control station. It comes housed inside a compact structural casting featuring a micro-proportional joystick knob, localized power/horn switches, and a mounting blade framework built to lock directly into back-cane track accessories.
Operating on the advanced Q-Logic 3 electronics bus system, it bridges seamless proportional steering, braking logic, and speed adjustments directly to the power base. Crucially, it provides the attendant full capability to toggle into "Seat Mode" to actuate power positioning features. This allows them to safely trigger functions like power tilt, power recline, elevating leg rests, or seat lift directly from the back of the chair when helping a user manage pressure relief or repositioning.
This controller utilizes Pride/Quantum’s modern, non-expandable bus framework and connects via a specialized 6-pin wiring loom architecture. It natively pairs with Q-Logic 3 configured power chairs, including:
- Quantum Edge Series: Edge 3 Stretto, Q6 Edge 3, Q6 Edge 2.0, Edge 2.0X, Q6 Edge HD, and Q6 Edge Z.
- Quantum Front-Wheel Drive: Quantum 4Front and 4Front 2.
- Quantum Specialty Series: Quantum R-TRAK and Quantum 1450 / Jazzy 1450.
- Seating Systems: Directly mounts to the back cane frameworks of TRU-Balance 3 (TB3), TRU-Balance 4, and TRU-Balance Flex seating frames.
Compatibility Warning: This module is exclusively for chairs running Q-Logic 3 systems. It cannot be retrofitted to older Q-Logic 2 (e.g., CTL137822) or VR2 configurations, as the communications data packets will not recognize the legacy power modules.
