The Pride Jet 2 Rear Console Dashboard Tray (Utility/Control Tray) and Power Interface Wiring Harness is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) power distribution hub designed by Pride Mobility. Located under the rear section of the seat shroud, this consolidated assembly acts as the primary junction box for the power chair's electrical system.
The rear dashboard tray serves as a protected landing bay that bridges external system plug-ins to the interior electronics. It consolidates several critical electrical ports into one rigid plastic structural block, including:
- The Onboard XLR Charging Port: Where the off-board battery charger plugs in to supply voltage.
- The Main Controller Interface Sockets: Heavy-duty wiring lines that split high-amperage current from the battery packs out to the onboard motor controller (such as a 9-pin terminal array).
- Safety Integration: Houses the main heavy-duty circuit breaker or fuse system to instantly trip the circuit if a motor experiences a sudden amperage spike or a thermal overload condition.
Because this tray is located at the lower rear boundary of the chair, it is highly susceptible to impact damage when backing up, or localized wire corrosion from dust and moisture tracking into the charging port pins.
This specific console layout and interface configuration is unique to early-generation Pride mid-wheel drive chassis formats. It natively supports:
- Pride Jet Series: Jet 2 and Jet 2 HD (Heavy Duty)
- Jazzy Cross-Compatible Variants: Select early production runs of the Jazzy 1103 Ultra and Jazzy 1122 that utilized the localized rear AC/XLR charging panel blocks.
Note: This configuration will not fit modern Quantum or Pride Jazzy models, which eliminated the independent rear tray layout entirely by integrating all wiring leads directly into unified, single-box power modules (like the PG Drives VR2 platform).
