M1951 Field Jacket w/Patches--1961

Original US Army M1951 field jacket, cotton sateen outer shell with OD green poplin inner lining, four pockets (two lower pockets are OD green cotton flannel lined for hand warming), waist draw string, and aluminum tooth zipper with cadmium plated steel CONMAR slide.

All size, contract, and instruction labels intact, size Small Regular with 1961 dated contract number. Has embr on white name tape, woven silk US ARMY tape, cut edge SETAF patch, and embr on twill cut edge Spec-4 rank chevrons. Name tape and SETAF patch are theatre made.

Average fading from use and laundering but no holes, fraying, repairs, or other damage. Faint ghosting on sleeves where Staff Sergeant rank was sewn on (either the jacket was reissued or this guy did something wrong!), but does not affect appearance. Waist draw string is intact but skirt string is missing. Zipper works fine with no problems and all buttons are intact and undamaged.

Nice example of a later pattern M1951 jacket and is in fine condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
