Japanese-style folding hand fan with a matching fabric pouch, tassel, and clear protective sleeve. Believed to date from the second half of the 20th century to the early 21st century.

The fan features a natural-material frame, believed to be bamboo, with finely shaped ribs. The light olive-green fabric leaf is decorated with a delicate grass and seed-head pattern in muted brown and mauve tones. The exact fabric composition has not been identified.

The matching pouch features the same pattern, a purple lining, and a decorative cord. A separate tassel with an attachment loop and a clear snap-closure protective sleeve are included.
