When country legend Mark Chesnutt recorded his breakout 1990 hit "Too Cold at Home," the original album track famously referenced the "Dodgers" in the baseball-themed second verse. However, because Chesnutt is a proud Texas native, MCA Records recorded several alternate "baseball mixes" (or radio edits) tailored to different regional markets across the United States. Instead of hearing the generic or Los Angeles Dodgers line, local radio stations were serviced with custom vocal takes where Chesnutt swapped in the local home team name.
