• Rare chance to own a SIGNED Italian Sculpture bust by listed artist Antonio Trefoloni.
  • Created by the hand of the master sculptor about 1890 using fine Alabaster Marble, this lovely young woman is the Art Nouveau / Belle Epoque ideal of the feminine.
  • Downcast sad expression, flowing Gibson Girl hair , beautiful profile, long swan- like neck. Big at 9 inches tall.
  • This is a HEAVY piece of alabaster marble!
  • It is SIGNED on the back, engraved into the stone“A. Trefoloni”
  • The piece has a lovely, satiny finish by the artist’s hand- but there are also the artist’s chisel marks on the base! Which brings a personal connection to the artist at work in his studio. There are brown colorations but I think they were the original stone markings. Some WEAR to tip of nose and chin, but nothing serious, but it is there. Shows itself as kind of a lightness, more a rub.
  • A dramatic and lovely work of art for a shelf, display table, wall niche, desk.
