This series of novelty Barbies is a tribute to fellow Ebay seller “Best Dressed Doll” from whom I get the Barbie leggings I use for many of my ensembles. And if you haven’t already guessed, the title for the series was inspired by those yummy Eggo waffles and their clever marketing phrase “Leggo My Eggo.”

Barbie was just minding her own business, moving through her day in a comfortable pair of leggings when, out of nowhere, a variety of critters, attracted to the color and soft texture, grabbed a hold and are clinging for dear life to Barbie’s leg. And most are not the kind of critter you want riding on your thigh.  After trying Cling Free dryer sheets and Critter Ridder granules to deal with the “situation,” Barbie decided to just go with it, get to know her hitchhiker, and wait for the critter to let go in its own sweet time.

Barbie couldn’t believe it (nor could anyone else) when Jurassic Quest visited L.A. and during the walking tour, a stegosaurus was attracted to her leggings and hopped a ride. What can you do when a stubborn dinosaur takes a liking to your leggings? Not much. The Critter Ridder didn’t work, the Cling Free dryer sheets didn’t work, so to get to know her hitchhiker better, Barbie found a book about the dino in the gift kiosk. As they say, “Know thy enemies.”

Barbie is wearing white leggings paired with a white crop top and a Cinderella jacket emblazoned with “Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo,” a blue crocheted stocking cap, a white faux-leather purse with a stegosaurus spine plate decal held on the wrist with a stretchy o-ring bracelet, a dinosaur charm chain belt, white sneakers, a dinosaur-themed cellphone held on the wrist with a blue and white beaded stretch bracelet, a blue bead necklace, a mini-book about stegosaurus dinosaurs, and cardboard cutouts of a canister of Critter Ridder granules and Cling Free dryer sheets. The stegosaurus is wearing a Barbie B monogram charm necklace.

I acquired the doll and the Cinderella top second hand, so they likely saw some playtime. I cut the shirt up the front to turn it into a jacket. The Millie Fashionista doll has blond hair with blue tints, blue eyes, flat feet, a posed right arm and splayed fingers. The blue plastic stegosaurus is not sewn on and can be easily removed and reattached as desired.

Everything comes to you from a non-smoking, Barbie-loving home with terriers that are smart enough to know that Barbie is off limits, all the time, no exceptions.
