Description

Lower the stylus into the lead-in groove and hear each note start clean against a quiet background. The NAGAOKA MP-700 is the flagship of NAGAOKA's MP (moving permalloy) cartridge line, for vinyl listeners who want flagship detail from a standard MM phono input.

A boron cantilever carries a micro-ridge nude diamond, so the tip traces fine groove detail. A new tension wire in the pivot keeps the stylus steady over warped records, and a flux plate concentrates the magnetic field around the moving permalloy element. The frame is super-duralumin with a three-layer finish.

Choose the JN-P700 replacement stylus, the MP-700 cartridge, or the MP-700H mounted on a headshell. Released in 2025 and made in Japan.
