Measures approximately 11.5 in tall standing on a green marble plinth approximately .75 in high x 3.25 in wide x 2.75 in deep. Total weight is 4 lb 14.4 oz.

This mid century bronze casting of David bears the foundry mark B. e I. and retains its original Gi.mar Firenze Italia foil sticker which is intact but warped and peeling. The bronze features an embedded verdigris patina and has been sealed in a layer of microcrystalline curators wax.  While there is no noted damage on the bronze itself, there are numerous minor abrasions and marks that are consistent with handling and wear. The casting exhibits manufacturing characteristics including remnant mold material in deep crevices, post casting fill voids, and a large well polished pit on the back of the arm. The casting is smooth with highly detailed hands, feet, facial features, and hair, showing no visible mold lines. The marble base shows shelf wear, slight edge imperfections, a tiny flea bite on one corner, and an irregularity directly above the label that may be a natural stone inclusion or prior impact damage. There are marks on the marble where the statue has swiveled on its mount. The figure is secured to the base with a slotted flathead screw.
