Up for your consideration is an authentic antique Victorian-era Figaro-style pocket watch chain, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The chain is crafted from 800 silver with rose gold vermeil and intricate niello decoration. It features a particularly attractive and unusual “twisted vine” inner-link design, with a finely worked rose-gold-tone spiral running within the dark niello-decorated outer links, creating a rich contrast and highly sculptural appearance.

The chain is fitted with a small spring-ring loop at one end and a dog clasp at the other. It is clearly marked 800 for silver purity and was recently inspected by a professional jeweller to confirm its authenticity and construction.

Found at an estate sale in Paris. The chain is excellently preserved considering its age of more than 100 years, with an attractive antique appearance.
