Volume I includes an engraved portrait frontispiece of Lord Byron.

Bound in green cloth and paper-covered boards, with the original printed paper title labels to the spines. Both volumes are present.

Condition:

A genuinely antique set showing considerable age and wear. The bindings are worn and structurally loose, with split internal hinges and separation between the boards and text blocks, as clearly shown in the photographs. The spine labels are worn and marked but remain legible.

The page edges are uneven and age-toned, with foxing and spotting internally, particularly to the preliminary pages and engraved portrait. There is general handling wear consistent with books approaching 200 years old.

The volumes have not been collated page by page, but no obvious missing sections have been noticed. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.

An uncommon early two-volume edition of one of Byron’s best-known works, suitable for a collector, antiquarian book collection or decorative library.
