Vintage Mid-Century Infant Christening Gown & Hand-Knit Mint Green Booties Set
DESCRIPTION:
This beautiful vintage set features a traditional unisex infant day gown from the 1940s-1950s paired with charming mid-century newborn booties. Perfect as an heirloom keepsake or for special infant milestones. Set is in very good used and clean condition. No size indicated, but probably 1-6 months since that is usually when a Christening would occur.
The gown is crafted from a fine, lightweight white cotton batiste or linen fabric. It features a classic kimono-style cut, short T-sleeves, satin ribbon tie closures at the chest, and delicate feather stitching or decorative openwork embroidery along the placket, collar, and hem.
The ensemble includes a pair of soft, hand-knit soft mint/sage green newborn booties from the 1950s-1960s. They feature a classic garter or moss stitch fold-over cuff and are threaded with a delicate white satin ribbon woven through the ankle for a secure fit.
