This piece is an elegant Nachtmann Traube pattern crystal cranberry/red cordial/liquor glass, a highly collectible design produced by the renowned German manufacturer.

The Traube (meaning grape in German) pattern features deeply etched textures detailing geometric starbursts, diamond cross-hatching, and fan cuts. It is made using a meticulous cut-to-clear overlay technique. A layer of rich cranberry-colored glass is fused over clear lead crystal before artisans cut through the colored exterior to reveal the brilliant clear crystal beneath. The glass sits on a distinct faceted paneled stem with notch detailing, flaring down to a beautifully detailed star-cut rayed base that aids refraction. Glasses of this shape and scale in the Traube line are cordial/liqueur glasses. This glass stands 5.5” tall, the circumference of the mouth is 2” and the base 2.25”. This lovely piece is in excellent pre-owned condition. There are no scratches, chips or flaws.
