Original 1852 legal summons issued in Salem County, New Jersey. Justice of the Peace Charles F.H. Grey summoned Daniel Crisp to appear at his office in Upper Pittsgrove to answer a debt claim of $20 by John M. Smith. The front of the document is partially printed with handwritten fill-ins, featuring ornate border details and red wax seal remnants. The reverse contains the constable's service record, dated May 10, 1852, signed by John Moshew.
