New unused Navy BEARTRAP Sticker.  The mission of Project BEARTRAP (CNO Project K-0416) is to gather magnetic and acoustic data in order to identify and track submarines. Magnetic data is collected using a magnetic anomaly detector while the acoustic data are measured by sonobuoys laid in a pre-defined pattern. BEARTRAP missions are flown by specially equipped P-3 maritime patrol aircraft and ship-based SH-60B LAMPS helicopters to gather acoustic sound pressure level information.

Project BEARTRAP would later be called Airborne ASW Intelligence (AAI).  Patches are given to aircrews who search, localized and conducted "simulated" attacks on foreign submarines If you ever had "Red Time" or any contact time on a threat submarine a chance to memorialize your mission event.

Sticker is 3" around. Made of durable laminated waterproof vinyl that is scratch and fade resistant that can be applied indoors or outdoors.

As always: Check out the photos for the best idea of condition.

The Fine Print:

Payment is due with 48 Hours of Auction’s end, or moment of purchase.

I'll pack the item carefully and get it in the mail promptly after receiving payment (occasionally, in mere hours!)

I generally frown on returns, as this isn’t a business.  However, if I’ve misrepresented something (even after looking carefully… it occasionally happens!), please contact me so we can work it out.

Thanks,
